WHO: More than 40 Girl Scouts from across Tarrant County
WHAT: Goodwill North Central Texas is proud to partner with the Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains to present Good Turn Day. Between September 25 and October 23, Girl Scouts are challenged to donate at least two 30-gallon trash bags full of donations to a Goodwill North Central Texas location. The girls then must complete an online virtual tour and video quiz about the nonprofit’s mission to earn their Good Turn Day patch.
On Monday, October 10th, Goodwill North Central Texas will offer a tour and activity day to troops that would like to visit Goodwill Altamesa to learn more about Goodwill operations in person. The event will be offered at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to interested Girl Scouts. Goodwill will also facilitate a craft activity, a create-your-own costume challenge and provide goodie bags for attendees. Girl Scouts that come to this tour and turn their donations in or present their donation receipt, will receive their Good Turn Day patch on-site.
