Mark Fishback

For more than 35 years, Mark Fishback has empowered adults with disabilities with a passion for his community while leading a rockstar life.

Mark began his career with Goodwill under CEO Bernard Kern in 1986 as the manager of Goodwill’s sheltered workshop, where he managed employees with multiple and significant disabilities as they worked on various contracts doing packaging and fulfillment. Over time, Mark grew that small department by partnering with local employers and government entities and created a large Industrial Contracts division that today provides job opportunities to adults with disabilities at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, The Federal Bureau of Prisons, and The General Services Administration just to name a few. Mark’s passion for helping people with disabilities started at home where he was a champion for his younger brother, Jeff, who was born with Down syndrome and shares his brother’s love of music.

Now serving as Vice President of Contracts and Facilities, Mark has created a legacy of leadership and commitment that allows him to pursue his passions outside of work as well. Through his time with Goodwill North Central Texas he has raised a loving family and has had the freedom to play bass alongside country music legends including Larry Joe Taylor, Pat Green, Ray Wylie Hubbard and many others.  Mark became legendary at Goodwill, with his fun music tales of working all week at Goodwill, leaving for Austin on Thursday evening to play that night, just to turn around and make it back to work on Friday morning.

Mark’s dedication is what makes Goodwill great!
