Our S.T.A.R.S. (Skills Training Achieves Results) participants from Fort Worth and Grapevine recently came together for one of our favorite annual traditions: S.T.A.R.S. Field Day! This lively event was filled with games, laughter, and heartwarming moments that showcased the strength of community and the power of play.
What is S.T.A.R.S.?
The S.T.A.R.S. program is a unique day program that provides a supportive learning environment for adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. Through daily life skills training, interactive simulations (like town square visits, apartment settings, and general store activities), and pre-vocational experience in our retail stores, participants gain confidence, independence and real-world skills.
A Day of Fun and Friendship
This year’s Field Day brought participants from both locations together for a variety of team games, outdoor fun, and bonding moments. Whether playing games, shooting for the win or cheering on friends, the camaraderie was inspiring. S.T.A.R.S. Field Day isn’t just a break from the routine—it’s a celebration of what makes this program so special.
