Goodwill Classic 2021

115 golfers, including former Texas Rangers greats Rafael Palmeiro, José Guzmán, Doyle Alexander, Leon Roberts, Todd Van Poppel, and Danny Darwin, as well as other former MLB players including Larry Hardy and Mike Phillips; TV personality and Blazing Saddles star Burton Gilliam participated in the 14th annual Goodwill Classic golf tournament on Monday, November 1, 2021.

Billed as a “Tournament of Excellence,” the Goodwill Classic benefits Goodwill North Central Texas, an organization that helps rebuild countless lives through its job training and placement programs.

All proceeds from the tournament support Goodwill mission services focusing on the homeless (GoodwillWorks), at-risk youth (E-Squared), veterans (VetWorthy), the disadvantaged and the disabled (S.T.A.R.S.).

Texas Country Music Hall of Fame artist Neal McCoy sang the National Anthem.

Since its inception in 2008, more than $1.69 million has been raised by the golf tournament. In 2020, 5,850 lives were touched through Goodwill’s Workforce Development Programs. The 2021 tournament raised $143,816 for the organization.
