WHO: More than 120 golfers, including former Major League baseball players Doyle Alexander, Jose Guzman, Larry Hardy and Dave Owen; Goodwill Board of Directors and staff members and sponsors of the Goodwill Classic.
WHAT: Billed as a “Tournament of Excellence,” the Goodwill Classic benefits Goodwill North Central Texas, an organization that helps rebuild countless lives through its job training and placement programs. All proceeds from the tournament support Goodwill mission services focusing on the homeless (GoodwillWorks), at-risk youth (E-Squared), veterans (VetWorthy), the disadvantaged and the disabled (S.T.A.R.S.).
Since its inception in 2008, more than $1.8 million has been raised by the golf tournament. In 2022, 7,761 lives were touched through Goodwill’s Workforce Development Programs. More than 120 golfers are expected to participate in the 16th annual tournament. The 2022 tournament raised $80,850 for the organization.
