Every year during the first full week of May, Goodwill organizations across the country come together to celebrate the power of work and Edgar J. Helm’s philosophy of “a hand up, not a hand out.” This celebration is known as Goodwill Industries Week.
Through local events and promotions our goal is to educate our local community on the true nature of Goodwill’s mission, which goes far beyond our retail stores and donation centers.
Thank you for supporting Goodwill and helping people gain the skills they need to earn employment and start on new career paths. We couldn’t do it without you!
This year we will be celebrating Goodwill Industries Week in a variety of ways. We’ll host a virtual resume workshop, a hiring fair with seven employers on-site, premiere our new Thank You Goodwill success story video, and launch our latest podcast all about the history of Goodwill North Central Texas.
