Honoring Homeless Remembrance Day: Goodwill’s Commitment to Helping Those Without a Home

December 21 is National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day, a time to remember those who have lost their lives without the dignity of a safe home and to honor our commitment to supporting those experiencing homelessness. At Goodwill North Central Texas, we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of our homeless neighbors through programs like Goodwill Works.

Goodwill Works provides job training, support, and resources to individuals facing homelessness, helping them develop skills that can lead to employment and self-sufficiency. Our team partners with local shelters and community organizations to offer resources for job placement, housing stability, and supportive services that help break the cycle of homelessness. For many, Goodwill is a lifeline, offering not only career support but a sense of hope and community.

This Homeless Remembrance Day, let’s stand together to honor those we’ve lost and to renew our commitment to fostering change. By donating to and shopping at Goodwill, you support programs that provide opportunity, stability, and hope for our community members who need it most.
