On Tuesday, December 5th, Goodwill North Central Texas hosted its Annual Board/Staff Luncheon to celebrate another great year of Goodwill! During this event we recognized our annual award winners as well as those individuals celebrating 5, 10, 15, 20 and even 40 years of service to Goodwill North Central Texas.
Congratulations to our graduate of the year, Gary Clark, a graduate of our CDL program.
Our Achiever of the Year was our Outlet Manager, Ryan Osborn, who earned his GED with A-Squared and was recognized as Texas Workforce Commission’s second-ever Adult Education & Literacy Scholar of the Year! Ryan was honored for his dedication, persistence and leadership in obtaining his GED!
Darius Bowie was named our Shining S.T.A.R. of the year for his passion for the S.T.A.R.S program and his work in Edgar’s Bath Goods, which provides adults with disabilities paid work experience making hand-crafted bath bombs and bath products.
Margaret March was named our Team Member of the Year for Admin and Contacts. Margaret is a key player in promoting diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at Goodwill and works tirelessly to benefit our company culture.
Our Workforce Development Team Member of the Year was Christopher Martinez.
Greg Smith was named Team Member of the Year for our Donated Goods and Retail program. Greg has worked at Goodwill for over 35 years!
Our Janitorial crew was recognized as the outstanding team of the year for Administration and Contracts for always going above and beyond.
Our Rehabilitation team was named outstanding team of the year for Workforce Development, for their incredible work with Summer Earn & Learn and other vocational rehabilitation programs.
Weatherford was named Outstanding Team of the Year for Donated Goods and Retail, for their customer service and mission awareness.
Peggy Speir was named our community member of the year. Peggy is the Manager of Access Programs at the Amon Carter Museum and does incredible work with our S.T.A.R.S. participants, guiding them through rich culture and hands-on art activities.
These individuals play a vital role in supporting our mission to create lives of independence and build a stronger local community. It’s their efforts that make Goodwill great!
